How to Jailbreak Your iPad 3.2
Spirit has now been released which jailbreaks the iPad and iPhone on 3.1.2, 3.1.3, or 3.2. If you own an iPhone on 3.1.2 I would stay at that firmware for now and just jailbreak that instead of upgrading to 3.1.3 as it may cause problem further down the line. Spirit is an Untethered jailbreak which will not unlock your iPhone, purely jailbreak only
Just a Few Requirements First
Any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2, 3.1.3, or 3.2.
An activated device: one not stuck on the Connect to iTunes or Emergency Call screen
Any version of iTunes 9 (including 9.1.1).
Syncing with iTunes before trying this highly recommended
On iPad, all this is still sort of beta. Some packages in Cydia, not designed for iPad, might screw up your system and require you to restore. Be careful. (And no, Cydia’s appearance is not final.)
1) Right, first download either your Mac or Windows specific software
Once downloaded unpack
2) Make sure your iPad is on and just in a nomal mode and connected to your computer via your USB cable, then open spirit
3) The only button in Spirit will say Jailbreak, so you guessed it, click the button and this will take around 30 seconds
4) The iPad will show Restore Complete screen, and Spirit will show Jailbreak Complete! Dont worry you will not loose any data
5)The iPad will restart, and for a minute or two you will see the lovely art made by OPK while Spirit is extracting the bootstrap package and finishing its work.
That’s it. Your iPad will then start back up, and you’ll see Cydia installed.
Alot of guides also suggest that through Cydia you back up your SHSH, this will allow you to revert your iPad back to 3.2 regardless of any attempt of Apple’s upates to block your jailbreak. To do this go into cydia and just click the make my life easier, thanks! button.
