iPad 3 To Have 2048×1536 Resolution??

On June 16, 2011, in News, by iPhoneRadar

As usual when a new iOS is released as a Beta to developers alot of those developers also tend to be extremely interested in what new features they can find buried within the coding and today comes as one of the top finds. We are already hearing rumours that we are going to see an iPad 3 for around Christmas time which means all those people that have iPad 2′s (including me) will be very slightly annoyed. Well with this release we will see iOS 5 and possibly a new iPhone also sporting iOS 5, it is in this iOS 5 that the above specifications have been found for an iPad having 2048×1536 resolution which is a massive improvement on the current 1024×768. Right now your probably thinking oh my god its going to have retina display well unfortunately if falls just short of being able to be classed as a retina display as it is 264ppi where as retina displays come in at 300ppi. Although don’t be to disappointed as the iPad 2 has only 132ppi, so we are seeing the ppi doubled :)
