Another classy iPad 2 advertisement from Apple, I must say Apple are heads and shoulders above the competition with their line of adverts
Apple have yet another new ad what with the recent release of no less than four ads for the iPhone 4, now we see the first real advert for the iPad 2. It is a somewhat different advert for Apple but as always it is big hitting and always leaves you remembering it
If you are thinking of pre-ordering your shiny new iPad 2 and are expecting to get it within a couple of days then think again, customers who ordered online today got a shock discovery of Apple telling them the estimated delivery time is 4-5 weeks! This is bad news considering you thought Apple would have provided more due to the demand any product they produce gets, in a way though it is also a clever technique as it gets the blogging and media world buzzing with news and may even get more people interested.
Wall Street analysts believe that Apple has likely sold somewhere between 500,000 and 1 million iPad 2s since the Friday product launch but these figures are yet to be confirmed, either way I think we can say the iPad 2 is going to sell Phenomenal numbers maybe outselling the Xbox Kinect

AnandTech has released data and pictures on benchmarks they have performed on the new iPad2 and to say it has blown away the competition is a little bit of an understatement, it even blew away its predecessors’. AnandTech have said that the iPad’s new processor has roughly double the processing power of the previous iPad which shows why it gives such incredible figures.

I dont know how they do it but iFixit have got there hands on an iPad 2 and straight away taken it apart to give us the inside info of all things tech on the iPad 2. We pretty much knew everything we needed to know stat wise of the iPad 2 except they have confirmed a few extra facts for us. The internal memory is only 512mb which comes as a surprise as many people thought that it would have a much larger internal ram, also we find that the LCD and glass on top of the LCD are alot thinner than previously with iFixit voicing concerns over durability issues
Apple’s conference in America is on the verge of starting and we can soon expect finalised details of the iPad 2 and hopefully some other cool things sneaked in at the last minute. Stay tuned as I’ll update this post as soon as I can the official time for the event is 6:00GMT…. Updates below

The folks over at 9to5mac have sourced an image of what appears to be the bezel for the new iPad 2 but in white, with the previous version of the iPad there was no colour choice but it seems they are going to give into the demand! Hopefully they do not have any colour or light leakage issues with this like they have had for the production of the white iPhone 4 and it will actually make the shelves!

Apple have officially sent out invites for an unveiling on the 2nd March which is expected to be the new iPad 2 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California. Hopefully then will become reality on how many of these rumours were infact good, maybe I will go back and post a thread of true or false rumours that we posted about the iPad 2. Either way next week we will all know, be sure to check back for updates!
The guys over and 9to5mac have posted up this video on youtube which shows a silicone case for a second generation iPad which according to them has come from a reliable source, although I think everything we have ever posted has come from a reliable source lol. On a serious not 9to5mac are usually pretty spot on with speculation and items they have sourced.

Never mind rumours of the iPad 2 we are now getting rumours of a possible iPad 3 coming to us in an Autumn surprise planned by Apple for September. Daring Fireball’s John Gruber has come with these recent speculations and reading around other sources it sounds as if he has heard it from a pretty reliable source saying its “not a gues or speculation”.
