If you have not yet jailbroken your device and have iTunes 9.2 installed already, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO JAILBREAK. Your device will go into an infinite boot loop
Along come another iTunes update and along comes more worries for jailbroken users, first whats in the update. All that we have been told is that it is preparing iTunes for the release of the new iPhone 4 and the new iOS4 and that is the main focus, which is strange as I would of thought that this would be alongside the release of the new iPhone.
Anyway down to business, as you can see in big bold writing at the top do not attempt to jailbreak your iPhone with iTunes 9.2 installed as it will constantly boot lopp which means it will just keep trying to turn on, fail, turn off, turn on, fail, turn off………… you get the idea
PwnageTool or RedSn0w are reportedly not having any issues with the 9.2 iTunes but majority of spiritJB users are so I would suggest to stay away from this nasty version of iTunes while you are jailbroken and a safe way forward come out

Today an iTunes update has been released, it looks as if it is safe to update but usual advice goes out to all jailbreakers to not update as it may cause problems with future jailbreaks
MuscleNerd the developer of “spirit” which will jailbreak possibly OS 4.0 tweeted
In general, those using *any* userland JB should avoid iTunes updates, since iTunes can detect & remove it.

Today’s 9.1.1 iTunes is safe for PwnageTool&redsn0w. But those hoping to use userland JBs (like Spirit) should hold off.
The video above shows an iPhone syncing with iTunes with no cables connected. This app has apparently been submitted to Apple for release in the Appstore, but I dont think we are ever going to see it. Apple frowns upon apps that “duplicates existing iPhone functionality” although there is nothing that is being duplicated really as Apple does not allow you to connect to iTunes without a cable.
Well if we dont see it in the AppStore then i’m sure I will see this via cydia, but great work Greg Hughes
Windows Jailbreakers please read!!!!!
With the announcement yesterday of an incoming release of iTunes it has been released ahead of schedule and came to us today… However big warnings for Windows users, the new iTunes update kills blackra1n and it will not allow you to jailbreak your device. People are also reporting that they are having trouble syncing there jailbroken devices, this is not good news
New features:
iTunes 9.1 comes with several new features and improvements, including:
• Sync with iPad to enjoy your favorite music, movies, TV shows, books and more on the go
• Organize and sync books you’ve downloaded from iBooks on iPad or added to your iTunes library
• Rename, rearrange, or remove Genius Mixes
Rumours are currently flying around the net about the new iTunes update which is scheduled for release along with the iPad. It kinda makes sense as they need to make iTunes compatible with the iPad but the rumour mainly consists of a new ebook section which will allow you to sort your ebooks out much like you can with your music library. It is thought that the ebook section will replace the audiobook section, although im not to sure as people will still want audio books for iPods and so on.
The iPad comes ever closer
Gifting people iTunes songs with the gift feature has been one of the best ways to gift someone for there birthday, if you are lazy like me. Now Apple has added the ability to gift people with iPhone Apps, which I think is about time.
After agreeing to the new iTunes Store terms and conditions, you’ll be able to select gift This app option from the drop down menu next to the app. Then you can type in the persons email address and personal message and iTunes will send them a gift card.
Louie Sulcer of Woodstock, Georgia is a 71-year-old country music fan who just happens to have seven stents in his heart and an artificial hip. But he can still rock and roll with the best of him. If not, he will certainly learn to.
Well thats who the gift card went to, im not sure if there is 10,000 country music songs to buy! Good luck to him and he better get downloading! The lucky man even got a personal phone call from steve jobs to congratulate him. Thanks to modmyi
iTunes are giving away a $10,000 gift card if you are the 10th billion song down loader. The chances of course are very slim but for the sake of filling out a form which takes around two seconds you get the chance to win $10,000 iTunes gift card. I know what i would do, straight on ebay
The form is here
