App Review – Fonejacker £1.19
Well if you are reading this and you love the fonejacker series then this is a must have app for you. The app gives you lots of soundboards from the shows best charecters including terry tibbs, mr doovde, charlie wong, mr dufrais and internet service provdings. All you simply have to do is click onto the character’s face and then it will give you a list of available sayings.
The app also gives you a link to some of the best Fonjacker video’s and a link to free ringtones and the shop. There is only on bad point about the app, one of the best things would have been to prank call someone and use the soundboard, which you cannot do. You would have to ring on another phone and use it which kind of defeats the object of it to be honest.
Cant really go wrong for £1.19 and if you love fonejacker it will still give you some good laughs
Im not usually a fan of these attack, buy things, wait for your energy to recharge but seeing as this went from paid to free i thought i would give it a go and im glad i did. I have played iMobsters and not found them ones to interesting. They are great for like a few days then after that its boring. I find world war different, it just has me more addicted than any other and i dont know why
The layout is nice and simple and is very similar to all the other games like this. It allows you to form alliances and buy units to defend your nation. The one thing that gets really annoying is the music and sound effects, i have had to turn them off as they just keep annoying me
Its seems as if the app is quite popular as i am getting attacked on a regular basis so can only be a good thing. Its currently free and i recommend you give it a go while it is

Everyone in the Uk knows Autotrader is the number one when it comes to selling cars and its about time we had an app! The app is nice and easy to use with the layout very clear, they also put little tags on the home screen so you know what all the buttons are for. The app allows you to search for local cars in your area like the website does, except this also has a nice little unique feature. It allows you to scan a number plate and it will give you all the stats for the car and will also give you reviews on the car.
Simple yet effective, its great for people like me who struggle to use autotrader’s fiddly website on there iPhone. Now we have an app which is a must have if your on the prowl for a new car

App Review – AgingBooth
Price – .59p
AgingBooth is a great app which allows you to see what your going to look like when your a wrinkly! I was a bit sceptical at first but after I used this app i was very impressed. The way it it ages your face is fantastic, adding wrinkles and imperfections to your skin. Instantly other people were impressed with the app and they downloaded it as thats how good it is.
The layout of the app is fantastic and really simple to use, once you have taken a picture you set where the eyes and the mouth is and it ages the person. The only problem I had with it is that you have to be in very good light and it has trouble recognizing your face the darker your skin is. The only other thing i could be really picky about was previous people i have aged which it shows at the start i couldnt figure out how to scroll up and check them. So I had to do them again and save them, this could just be me
Overall the app is fantastic for 59p, it has a couple of bad points but i generally had more good points for it as it is very cool to see how people around you are going to look when they are older. Highly recommended
The UK’s Jobcentre service is now available through an iPhone app, providing a service to the jobless-but-gadget-obsessed. Which makes me laugh a little as if you are out of work how are you going to carry on affording your iPhone? But anyway, a simple app that makes you simply type in where you want to look for jobs and what kind of work.
Only one slight problem with this….
Apparently 13 per cent of the jobs advertised through jobcentres now require digital applications. That’s 350,000 vacancies which are closed to those without access to a PC, or a high-end smart phone.
Except that the mobile application can’t actually be used to apply for the job. For that you’ll need to call Jobseeker Direct and give them the reference number of the job, so it’s a search service and nothing more. It’s also restricted to the iPhone and Android platforms – users of lesser handsets will have to rely on the web site, or travel into town.

Overall this has me thinking this could possibly be one of the most pointless apps of the year so far, whats the point of a searching for a job if you cant apply!
Mac Osx by Mala
I dont really tend to do theme reviews due to them only being available through cydia and a jailbroken iPhone, but this theme has to be one of the best i have seen for a long time. I like the way mac’s are laid out and the graphics used so i thought i’d give it a go and what a difference it made to my iPhone. The home screen looks so much better with updated icons for nearly everything as you can see from the picture. The lock screen is just an apple logo with the slider being a silver apple to slide across to unlock. The battery has also changed from green to blue so it now matches your signal bars and the wifi icon is the real wifi logo. All this had me really pleased as most themes dont really tend to do much other than change your background and a few icons. It want until i recieved a text until i noticed the they come up in a little black box with the mac red yellow and green symbol in the top left which i thought was a really nice touch
overall I was extremely impressed with this them and would recommend it to anyone who has a jailbroken iPhone. It is availible now through cydia!
App Review – Fingerzilla
Price – Free
Current place in UK appstore – 1
I decided that i would give fingerzilla ago seeing as its climbed its way into the number one spot. The game is very simple, you are the monster and your weapons are your fingers. Touch all the buildings, people, cars and even planes to cause chaos and fires. With this chaos comes points, simple really, the more chaos you cause the more points you receive.
I found the app really good fun for about 5 minutes, then after that i had enough. Although it is very fun for that short amount of time the lifespan is very short. It has nice openfeint support so you can unlock achievements within the game but it still dont make it worth playing.
The graphics are quite nicely done with good sound effects, the visuals remind me of the old sim city game on the pc. The menu system is very clear and easy to go through, with the option of openfeint or not
Overall the game is worthy of a quick 2 minute play seeing as its free…… Although it does get very boring very quickly, its almost like its missing something else to do in the game

App Review – Brothers In Arms 2
This is the second in the series on the iPhone and to be honest I didnt bother with the first one, I thought I better give this one a try as the screen shots appear quite impressive. First impressions of the game was it took an eternity to download at a whopping 200mb but i got there in the end. The game is presented very well with easy laid out menu’s and you start with a quick tutorial on the controls.
I found the controls…… ok…… i suppose. I mean I dont know in all honesty if the iPhone is cut out to be used for a first person shooter, at times i find it very unresponsive and my hands are in the way when im trying to drag the aim to where i want it. One nice touch is that the cross-hair does auto aim somewhat which makes it easier to play. When it gets a bit hectic with multiple enemies it becomes a bit of a struggle, although this is taken into account and they hardly ever hit you with damage, all i saw was my partner taking lots of damage.
The graphics are very impressive, every time a new big name game comes out it does impress me with what they are getting out of the iPhone. There is very little slow down when there is multiple enemies, the hud is nicely laid out with easy buttons decently spaced from each other. It has parts which sometimes make you forget your playing on an iPhone, like the camera will switch to a plane overhead going over and crashing, although this is let down as sometimes you struggle to see it due to the control system
My conclusion to this is that at £4.99 it is quite an expensive app which looks absolutely fantastic, it plays tons better than any other first person shooters on the iPhone do. My main let down, I don’t think the iPhone is cut out for first persons as the controls struggle to keep up with game
This is an app review for cylay which is available through rock or cydia on jailbroken phones
This app has been around for a while on the jailbreak scene, the first one to come out and allow you to protect your iPhone and your privacy. The idea of the app seems very simple but there is no others out there with this many options and this well laid out. I never tried it before as it was never free but now they have a free version so i thought i’d check it out
Once you have installed cylay three you can create an account in the settings menu and it gives you various options like enable cylay, what to do if iPhone gets set as lost and things like that. One of the best things is if you enter your google account details it allows you to do a complete back up of your iPhone remotely.
Once your all set with all your options you can go to cylay.com and sign in, now this is the main control panel of cylay. This is where you can declare your phone lost, track it via google maps and it is very very precise to where it tracks. The options are amazing, check recent calls, send a text to the phone, activate camera, lock phone…. see below

The options are brilliant it almost wants me to loose my iPhone just so i can try and find it again, there has already been success stories from people having there phones stolen and re-found through cylay. If you want to pay for it, it will cost you $19.99 a year but it is well worth considering! The only thing that makes me a bit iffy is if someone finds your phone and knows what they are doing then they could simply restore the phone? But then again there is the option to allow the phone to not be turned off so i wonder if it stops it?
A must have app now its free or three as it says
